London is a truly cosmopolitan city, home to many of the country's most famous landmarks. Standing on the southeastern side of England, London comprises many notable districts, each with their own character and attractions. For the best shopping in London, be sure to head for Oxford Street, Regents Street and Knightsbridge, home of the enormous and acclaimed department store of Harrods. Also worth noting, London's Chinatown district contains a plethora of authentic Asian-style restaurants, while the historic financial district, known as 'The City', contains many major companies and banks, being home to both the Bank of England and the London Stock Exchange.
